Tucurinca Rattan Rocking Chair

In the Colombian Caribbean, Tucurinca's craftsmen used natural fiber as well as black steel rod to make this rocking chair. Woven in Tucurinca's classic style, it shows details that are exclusive to this fiber type. This chair also exists in a non-rocking version!

You can use our rattan chair outside with special care: make sure you keep it away from the rain, and when you don't use it, we recommend you keep it in the shade.

Handmade in Colombia by Tucurinca's artisans, our fashionable but also comfortable chairs can be used in any space. They will make you feel surrounded by the warmth of Santa Marta’s sea at your terrace or living room.

Tucurinca is the revival of the weaving traditions of the native Colombian people. Indeed, it aimed to bring back to life the traditional Caribbean chair, that became famous in the 50's thanks to its Mexican counterpart, the Acapulco chair. Using traditional technics, Tucurinca reinvented the designs, though innovated through the material used.

Tucurinca work with victims of the Colombian armed conflict; people displaced from the rural areas that find in this workshop an opportunity to get ahead.
